"Breaking News: Cobra Kai Actor Spills the Beans on the Highly Anticipated Sixth Season"

Cobra Kai will begin filming its sixth and final season in January. The report comes from a red carpet interview with Courtney Henggeler, who plays Amanda LaRusso in the show. "I just got the script for the - we're doing the last season, starting in January, and I just got the first script," said Henggeler. The actress admitted that she has little to no knowledge of what to expect for the final season, and thus fans will have to tune in to find out what the show has in store.

Season Six Has Several Cliffhangers to Resolve

The previous season of Cobra Kai saw once-rivals Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) working together to take down Kreese and Silver's plot to take control of the Cobra Kai dojo, as well as enlist in the Sekai Taikai tournament.

The upcoming sixth season will have to address Kreese's escape from prison, as well as the upcoming prestigious tournament between Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang. The tumultuous series has several loose ends to tie up for the final season, but season five certainly sets up a high-stakes conclusion.

The original film's Ralph Macchio and the 2010 reboot's Jackie Chan are set to join forces in a third reboot that the Cobra Kai creators are also involved in. Both Chan and Macchio will be reprising their original franchise roles, but the role of The Karate Kid themselves has not yet been announced.

According to screenplay writer Rob Lieberman, the reboot seeks to "bring the story to the East Coast and focus on a teen from China [who] finds strength and direction via [martial] arts and a tough but wise mentor." The Cobra Kai creators have also stated that despite the series' ending, there are multiple spin-off possibilities they're willing to explore.
