"What's in Store for 'Daryl Dixon' Season 2? Everything We Have Uncovered!"

I thought Daryl Dixon was sort of up and down in terms of quality (beautiful locations contrasted against…I really hate Laurent), but last night’s finale was great for one reason and one reason only.

Spoilers, but not really, since AMC sort of spoiled this itself already. I’m talking of course about the return of Carol.

I have no idea why AMC decided to debut the news that Carol would return in season 2 of Daryl Dixon last week instead of letting her appearance in the finale be a big surprise. I mean, I guess we didn’t know for sure she would show up, but yeah, seems like a stupid decision to me.

But Carol’s back! That’s very exciting! Of course this reverts back to the original concept of the show, where Daryl Dixon was always meant to be Daryl and Carol, but Carol actress Melissa McBride did not want to have to move to France for filming. We obviously don’t know if there were personal reasons for that, but it seems that she has moved past that and is now happy to return next season.

We already know that next season has the extremely convoluted title of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol” instead of just changing the show name to, you know, Daryl and Carol, but whatever.

My question is whether a big chunk of the season will be how Carol manages to find a boat or a working plane or whatever to cross the ocean to France (I do not believe Daryl will be coming back to America, not yet, anyway), or whether we will open with her in France already and we just get some flashback as to how she got there like we had with Daryl.

We do already know the show is about to start filming in France again in a few days, so yes, it’s Carol coming to him, not Daryl going to America, despite finding his way to the coast.

As ever, I do think these AMC spin-off shows have gone surprisingly well. I have to admit that Daryl Dixon did suffer a bit as you can see how it likely would have been better with Carol to balance him out. It would be like Dead City being a Negan or Maggie solo show, it just wouldn’t have worked as well. Except, you know, they’re friends instead of mortal enemies.
